Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SnapyTask ("the Service"), operated by Mithium, a sole proprietorship registered in British Columbia, Canada ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

SnapyTask is a cleaning verification platform designed for short-term rental property owners and managers to document and verify cleaning tasks through photo evidence.

2. Description of Service

SnapyTask provides a platform that enables:

  • Property owners to create and manage cleaning task templates
  • Generation of magic links for cleaners to access cleaning sessions
  • Photo capture and upload for task verification
  • Review and management of completed cleaning sessions
  • Organization management for teams and multiple listings

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may register using:

  • Google OAuth authentication
  • Email and password

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

SnapyTask offers subscription-based pricing plans. By subscribing to a paid plan:

  • Billing: You authorize us to charge your payment method through our payment processor, LemonSqueezy, on a recurring basis according to your selected plan.
  • Plan Limits: Each plan includes specific limits on the number of listings and features available. Exceeding these limits may require upgrading your plan.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact support for refund requests.

5. User Content and Photos

Our Service allows you and your cleaners to upload photos ("User Content"). By uploading content:

  • You retain ownership of your User Content but grant us a license to store, display, and process it as necessary to provide the Service.
  • You represent that you have the right to upload such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.
  • Photos are stored securely and are only accessible to authorized members of your organization.
  • We compress and optimize photos for efficient storage while maintaining verification quality.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

6.1 Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination:

  • Excessive API Usage: Making excessive API calls, automated requests, or using the Service in a manner that places undue burden on our infrastructure.
  • Scraping and Data Mining: Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to extract data from the Service without explicit authorization.
  • Spam and Mass Messaging: Using the Service to send unsolicited messages, spam, or bulk communications.
  • Fraudulent Activity: Creating fake accounts, submitting fraudulent cleaning verifications, or misrepresenting information.
  • Resource Abuse: Uploading excessively large files, storing non-cleaning related content, or using storage for purposes unrelated to the Service.
  • Security Exploitation: Attempting to exploit vulnerabilities, bypass security measures, or access other users' data without authorization.
  • Illegal Content: Uploading, storing, or sharing content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or violates any laws.
  • Account Sharing: Sharing account credentials or allowing unauthorized access to your account for commercial purposes.

7. Abuse and Termination Rights

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any violation of these Terms, including the Acceptable Use Policy.

7.1 Consequences of Violation

If we determine that you have violated these Terms, we may, at our sole discretion:

  • Issue a warning regarding the violation
  • Temporarily suspend your access to the Service
  • Permanently terminate your account without prior notice
  • Delete any content or data associated with your account
  • Report illegal activities to appropriate law enforcement authorities
  • Pursue legal action for damages caused by the violation

7.2 No Refunds for Abuse-Related Terminations

If your account is terminated due to violation of these Terms, including the Acceptable Use Policy, you will NOT be entitled to any refund of subscription fees paid. All prepaid fees are forfeited upon termination for cause.

7.3 Investigation Rights

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of these Terms. During an investigation, we may suspend your access to the Service and review your account activity, uploaded content, and usage patterns.

8. Magic Links and Cleaner Access

SnapyTask generates unique magic links for cleaner access to cleaning sessions:

  • Magic links are temporary and expire after session completion or a set time period.
  • You are responsible for securely sharing magic links only with intended recipients.
  • Cleaners accessing via magic links do not require account registration.
  • You acknowledge that anyone with a valid magic link can complete the associated session.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by SnapyTask and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our Service without explicit permission.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free of viruses or harmful components

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SnapyTask and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
  • We may delete your account and associated data after a reasonable retention period
  • You may request export of your data before termination

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
